About Outaged

Real time service outage tracking, powered by independent monitoring and community reports.

What is Outaged?

Outaged is a real time outage tracker that tells you whether the services you rely on are up, degraded, or down. We monitor popular platforms across streaming, social media, gaming, cloud infrastructure, communication, banking, and e-commerce so you can get a clear answer in seconds instead of wondering whether the problem is on your end.

How it works

Every 60 seconds, our probe infrastructure sends synthetic requests to each monitored service from independent servers. These probes check whether a service responds correctly and how quickly it does so. At the same time, visitors can submit anonymous problem reports with a single click, no account required.

Independent verification

This is what sets Outaged apart. Most outage trackers rely solely on user reports, which can be noisy and unreliable. Outaged cross references user report spikes with our own probe data. When both signals align, we mark the outage as independently confirmed. You will see the label "Outaged has independently confirmed this outage" on the service page. This means we have verified the problem with our own infrastructure, not just crowdsourced complaints.

Status levels

Each service shows one of four statuses. Up means the probe is healthy and reports are at baseline. Degraded means either reports are elevated or the probe is failing, but not both. Down means the probe is failing and reports have spiked, a confirmed outage. Unknown means we do not have enough probe data yet.

Fully European infrastructure

Outaged is independently owned and operated. All user data is stored and processed exclusively on European servers. Our probing infrastructure runs on Hetzner servers in Frankfurt, Germany, sending synthetic requests to monitored services every 60 seconds. Our database is hosted on Supabase within the EU region, where all report data, probe results, and service records are stored. Traffic is routed via Cloudflare for performance and DDoS protection. Cloudflare is a US based company, so we cannot claim that no data ever touches non European infrastructure during transit. What we can say with certainty is that all user data, including reports, probe results, and service status, is stored exclusively on European servers. We believe this distinction matters, and we want to be honest about it rather than making claims we cannot fully back up.

How it differs

Some outage trackers rely entirely on crowdsourced complaints. If enough people search for "is X down," those trackers register an outage. The problem is that this creates false positives and offers no independent confirmation. Outaged takes a different approach. We combine real user reports with automated synthetic probes that run every 60 seconds. When both signals agree, we confirm the outage independently. This means you can trust what you see on Outaged because it is backed by our own infrastructure, not just a spike in search traffic or social media chatter.

Privacy first

We do not require accounts, collect personal information, or track you across the web. Problem reports are anonymous. IP addresses are hashed for rate limiting and never stored in raw form. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
